The Case Desk is an online cold-case investigation game provided for entertainment. The cases, people, organisations, documents, recordings, photographs and evidence presented in the service may be entirely fictional, or may contain dramatised elements, unless expressly stated otherwise.

The Case Desk does not provide legal, policing, forensic or professional investigative advice, and nothing in the service should be relied upon as such. You must not use the service to investigate, accuse, identify, contact or harass any real person, and you must not present in-game material as a factual account of real events or real individuals.

• You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account and to purchase a subscription.
• You must provide accurate registration details, including a valid email address, and keep them up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity carried out under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@saasili.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
• Accounts are personal to you and must not be shared, sold or transferred.

Free Detective access is available at no cost and includes Case 1, its evidence locker and investigation tools, DS Vale assistance, saved progress, your final score, case certificate and closed-file archive. No payment details are required for Free Detective access.

• Case Desk Unlimited unlocks all current investigations beyond Case 1, future case releases and all subscriber gameplay features.
• Pricing is £6.99 per month or £59.99 per year. The final price payable, including any applicable taxes and any currency conversion, is the amount displayed to you at checkout, which prevails.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price for the same billing period until you cancel.
• You may cancel at any time using Manage Billing in your Account page, which opens the customer portal provided by Paddle.
• Following an ordinary cancellation, your paid access continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and is not renewed after that.
• We may change subscription prices or plan contents. Where a change affects your renewal price, we will give you reasonable advance notice so that you can cancel before it takes effect.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Paddle handles checkout, payment processing, applicable taxes, invoices, billing administration, subscription management and refunds. Your payment transaction is governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms. Refunds are described in our Refund Policy. SAASILI LTD does not receive or store full card numbers, card security codes or complete payment credentials.

• We may grant complimentary access, which provides full case access without billing for a stated period. Complimentary access is discretionary, non-transferable and may have an expiry date shown in your Account page.
• Beta invitations issued to an email address are applied automatically when that address is used to register.
• Charter Detective status recognises founding members with a permanent member number and badge. It is a recognition only: it does not change billing, subscriptions, complimentary access, entitlements or case progress, and it may be removed where it was granted in error or where these terms are seriously breached.

When paid or complimentary access ends, your gameplay progress, answers, scores, case durations, timelines, notes, theories, closed-file archives and certificates are retained with your account. Cases that require a subscription simply become locked again; nothing you have earned is deleted because a subscription ended.

You agree not to:

• use the service unlawfully, fraudulently, or for spam or abuse;
• copy, redistribute, scrape, republish, resell, stream commercially or otherwise commercially exploit cases, evidence, documents, audio, imagery or other case content;
• attempt to interfere with, manipulate or circumvent scoring, timers, entitlements, paywalls, leaderboards, certificates or application security;
• probe, scan, overload or attack the service, introduce malware, or attempt to access other users’ accounts or data;
• reverse engineer the service except to the extent permitted by law;
• publish case solutions in a way designed to spoil the game for other players.

SAASILI LTD and its licensors own the service and all intellectual property in it, including case narratives, evidence, documents, imagery, audio, software, branding and design. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment within the plan you hold. You retain ownership of the notes, timelines and theories you create, and grant us a limited licence to host and process them solely to provide the service to you.

We aim to keep the service available and working well, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may carry out maintenance, and we may add, change, or withdraw cases and features as the product develops. Where a change is significant and adverse to a paying subscriber, we will give reasonable notice.

We may suspend or terminate access where there is material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious misuse. Where it is reasonable and lawful to do so, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put things right. You may close your account at any time by contacting hello@saasili.com.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for loss of profit, business, goodwill or opportunity, and our total liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the greater of £100 or the amounts you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose. The service is supplied for personal, non-commercial use; we exclude implied warranties to the fullest extent the law allows.

If you are a consumer, you have statutory rights under UK consumer law, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

Please email hello@saasili.com with any complaint and we will acknowledge it and work with you to resolve it. Billing and refund queries are handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record through paddle.net.

We may transfer these terms as part of a reorganisation, merger or sale of the business; you may not transfer your rights without our consent. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Neither party is responsible for failures caused by events beyond their reasonable control.

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
